Azalea 'Arneson Gem' ( Deciduous Azalea )
 
Description: This flowering shrub stands at 4'- 5' tall. Leaves are bright green with woody stems.
Ideal conditions: On the coast this can be in full sun with regular water. Moist, well drained, slightly acidic soil with lots of organic matter
Bloom: Reddish buds open to soft golden-yellow flowers with apricot orange tips and petal margins. It is fragrant and the leaves are disease resistant.
 
Azalea 'Gann's Delight' ( Deciduous Azalea )
 
Description: This flowering shrubs stands about 4' tall. I am not sure how tall it will mature to as I can't locate much information on it. Leaves are light green. The thin bark on the woody stems is silver grey.
Ideal conditions: On the coast this can be in full sun with regular water. Moist, well drained, slightly acidic soil with lots of organic matter
Bloom: Flowers are borne in mid spring. They are Bright pink with a hint of orange inside on one petal. Each stem holds a spray of well defined star shaped flowers without any ruffles.
 
Azalea 'Gibraltar' ( Deciduous Azalea )
 
Description: This flowering shrub stands at 5'- 10' tall. Leaves are bright green with woody stems.
Ideal conditions: On the coast this can be in full sun with regular water. Moist, well drained, slightly acidic soil with lots of organic matter
Bloom: Ruffled, star shaped flowers are bright reddish orange. The flowers are set in a spray that resembles a ball. Late spring is show time.
 
Azalea 'Groundhog' ( Evergreen Azalea )
 
Description: This evergreen is a low spreading, vigorous and fast growing shrub. It will reach a height of about 2 1/2' tall, and start getting much wider. After a long time, ( 20-30 years ) it can be almost 6' tall.
Ideal conditions: On the coast this can be in full sun with regular water. Moist, well drained, slightly acidic soil with lots of organic matter.
Bloom: Bright purple star shaped flowers appear in late May.
Azalea japonica 'Hino Crimson' ( Evergreen Azalea )
 
Description: This evergreen is a low growing, compact shrub reaching a height of 2 1/2' high x the same wide. Leaves are dark green, but after a colder winter they are bronze colored.
Ideal conditions: On the coast this can be in full sun with regular water. Moist, well drained, slightly acidic soil with lots of organic matter.
Bloom: Bright red star shaped flowers in mid spring.
Azalea 'Kermesina Rose' ( Evergreen Azalea )
 
Description: A slow grower forming an irregular, mounding, compact, evergreen shrub. Leaves are dark green to light green about 1" long. Reaches a height of 1'- 2' tall.
Ideal conditions: On the coast this can be in full sun with regular water. Moist, well drained, slightly acidic soil with lots of organic matter.
Bloom: In mid to late spring these star shaped flowers are variegated pink with an outside margin of white. Some plants may grow a few pure white flowers on them as well.
Azalea 'Northern Hi Lights' ( Deciduous Azalea )
 
Description: This flowering shrub stands at 4'-5' tall. Growth is compact. Leaves are bright green with woody stems.
Ideal Conditions: On the coast this can be in full sun with regular water. Moist, well drained, slightly acidic soil with lots of organic matter
Bloom: Yellow buds appear in May turning to star shaped flowers that are white with the top petal splashed in yellow. Long white stamens.
